Ilam, Nov 30: The Taxpayer Service Office, Ilam, has seen steady increment in the number of taxpayers in last three fiscal years.
During this period a total of 6,000 new taxpayers were registered in the Office set up by the Inland Revenue Department of the Ministry of Finance. The Office was set up in Ilam in 2012, according to Anmol Dahal, Chief of Taxpayer Service Office, Ilam.
The Office now boasts of altogether 9,000 tax payers which initially saw registration of 2,800 of them, shared Dahal.
The revenue collection in the first four months in the current fiscal year stands at Rs 50 million, it was shared.
The Office was successful in collecting a total of Rs 130 million in the last fiscal year.
The Taxpayer Service Office, Ilam, this year also launched special schemes and programmes, including Tax Education, in a recent week-long National Revenue Day celebration observed in all other such offices across the country to encourage the tax payers, according to Dahal. RSS
